Essential Oils
Bergamot oil relaxes and refreshes and is good for confidence building. Uplifts the spirit and emotions with its fresh and invigorating citrus fragrance. Useful for caring for oily and blemished skin.
Black Pepper is a spicy, warm scent, delightful to use in rubs to help with sore muscles, aromatherapy blends to aid in alertness and self confidence, and also has some anti-bacterial properties. Black Pepper is considered a circulatory stimulant so is found in rubs that help with stiffness, arthritis, a sciatica.
Cajeput oil is said to improve mood, and to help increase resistance to infections. A good 'unwinding' oil. Cajeput oil is excellent used in a steam inhalation to help clear the nasal passages, and is also helpful when treating oily skin and spots.
Calendula has traditionally been used to treat conjunctivitis, blepharitis, eczema, gastritis, minor burns including sunburns, warts, and minor injuries such as sprains and wounds.
Camphor (white) is is often used for depression, insomnia, shock, respiratory problems, oily skin and pains.
Cedarwood traditionally has been used for skin problems, arthritis and rhematism and is also said to aid nervous tension and stress.
Cinnamon Leaf oil warms and stimulates. A strong antiseptic, it has a cleansing effect. Used as a comforting oil during the cold season.
Citronella is light, fresh and uplifting. Citronella essential oil is a natural deodorizer, and is useful as an insect and cat repellent.
Clary Sage has uplifting and relaxing properties. It encourages sleep and is said to promote dreaming. Soothes, relaxes and warms. Uplifts the spirit. Contains a hormone-like compound similar to estrogen that regulates hormonal balance. Massage on muscles and on abdomen before and during menstruation. Induces feeling of well-being. Helpful with oily hair and skin, dandruff and treating wrinkles.
Clove is an antiseptic and stimulating oil useful in mouthwash and gargle. Comforting rubbed onto gums, traditionally used to relieve toothache. Could be an effective mosquito repellent.
Eucalyptus is used as a deodorant, antiseptic, antibiotic and may help with respiratory conditions.
Frankincense therapeutic properties of Frankincense Oil include use as an antiseptic, astringent, carminative, digestive, diuretic, sedative, tonic and expectorant. It has remarkable rejuvenating and healing properties. Frankincense Essential Oil is also believed to encourage a meditative state bringing balance and peace to individuals.
Geranium exerts a "balancing" effect on skin and is therefore useful for all skin types. It has often been used to ease the effect of PMS. A fresh, floral and sweet smelling oil it relaxes, restores and maintains stability of the emotions. An astringent oil excellent for all skin types. Used in skin care products for both its fragrance and cleansing properties. Useful insect repellent. For massage where there is cellulite and treating eczema and psoriasis.
Grapefruit with a fresh, citrus smell is energizing and helps to elevate the spirits. It also has antiseptic properties. Do not use Grapefruit essential oil on the skin or in the bath for 12 hours prior to sun or sunlamp exposure. Grapefuit essential oil has a lovely fresh aroma which can help with nervous exhaustion. it relieves congested and oily skin, having a toning effect on both skin and tissues. For this reason it is a good oil to use when treating cellulitis.
Grapefruit Seed Extract is used in humans to battle many types of internal and external infections caused from single and multi-celled parasites, fungi, viruses, and bacteria. Grapefruit seed-extract naturally detoxifies, enhances and supports the immune system. Another important benefit of grapefruit seed-extract is that it alkalizes the blood. It helps with acne, ringworm, athlete’s foot, nail fungus, and bacterial, parasitic, and viral infections. It can also be applied to cuts and wounds.
Helichrysum may help sore muscles. It can help soothe aches, pains, sprains, and strains, relaxing the body and easing the tension knotted into the musculature.
Jasmine respected for its aphrodisiac properties. It is a sensual, soothing, calming oil that promotes love and peace.
Lavender is relaxing and refreshing, uplifts the spirits, and helps to relieve the distress of muscle pain. Calms or stimulates according to your bodies needs. Excellent for refreshing tired muscles, feet and head.
Lemon has antibacterial and tonic properties, making it useful for relief of cold symptoms. Widely used in beauty care. It cleanses, refreshes, cools and stimulates. Astringent and antiseptic oil. Useful for oily skin.
Lemongrass is refreshing, cleansing and stimulating on the body. Added to shampoos to give a shine to the hair. An antiseptic and astringent oil.
Marjoram is a calming, soothing oil that has a warming effect on both mind and body. It helps to relieve the miseries of the common cold, including congestion and muscle aches and pains, and is also comforting in times of stress. It has a warm, woody odor with spicy undertones. Orange lifts the spirits yet is calming to the nerves. Blend with spicy oils for cheering baths. Add to massage oil for digestive system. Believed to brighten dull complexions. Encourages sleep.
Oregano warms and assists improvement of circulation, digestion, mental clarity and alertness. Oregano oil relieves muscle aches and pains and assists in increasing physical endurance and energy.
Patchoiuli Soothes and uplifts the spirit. It is soothing to the skin and is reported to be especially good for mature skin. Useful in protecting dry, mature or blemished skin,

Rosemary is thought to be a good analgesic, astringent, carminative, tonic and stimulant. It may also be good for its antidepressant, cephalic, nervine and hypertensive properties.
Rosewood is credited with being a bactericidal, anti-fungal, antiviral, anti-parasitic cellular stimulant, immune system stimulant, tissue regenerator, tonic, antidepressant, antimicrobial, and as an aphrodisiac. It is also regarded as a general balancer to the emotions.
Spearmint is a comforting scent which can be relaxing and help to relieve mental fatigue. It is slightly antiseptic and may be useful for minor skin eruptions
Tea Tree is a powerful antiseptic, antifungal and anti-viral. Good for acne, cold sores, warts, and burns. Use for vaporising to kill germs. Useful cleansing agent for skin. Helps combat foot odor and athletes foot.

Ylang-ylang Essential Oil can assist with problems such as high blood pressure, rapid breathing and heartbeat, nervous conditions, as well as seen as an aphrodesiac. Carrier Oils and Other ingredients
Aloe Vera is reputed to be an excellent moisturizer and soothing to irritated skin.
Almond Oil is a very good moisturizer suitable for all skin types, it will help relieve irritation, inflammation and itching. Not only does this oil help protect the surface of the skin, but it has great value to act as an emollient, skin soother and softener while conditioning the skin and promoting a clear, clean, young looking complexion. It will also help to relieve muscular aches and pains.
Organic Avocado Oil is an aid to skin moisturizing. Avocado oil is excellent for treating dry skin, sun-damaged skin, and wrinkles, as it delivers superior moisturizing and nourishing elements. Avocado oil can also help with the itchiness and dryness of psoriasis and eczema. Soybean Oil is rich in lecithin and has all 22 health-giving amino acids and vitamin A and B complex.
Vitamin E is an antioxidant useful for reducing the visible fine lines and wrinkles of the skin and thus makes the skin look younger. Vitamin E oil is useful for removing scars from the skin. When it is regularly applied on acne scars or scars caused due to some bruises, it first softens the area and then lightens the mark within a few weeks. It can also be helpful in reducing stretch marks. Vitamin E oil is used to treat sunburns. Vitamin E oil prevents water loss from the skin and helps to retain its natural moisture.
